This means that we are the only people controlling the logistics of Furniture Ordered. Not manufacturers or wholesalers, who may discontinue without notice - or they may be out of stock for a long time.
Planning deliveries is one of the most difficult tasks in supplying furniture. This is why a lot of Furniture retailers get this slightly (or completely) wrong! We have our pledge of delivering your Pine, Ash and Oak Furniture within 2 weeks (if so requested). We can do this because A) we use our own transport, B) because we hold all the Pine, Ash and Oak Furniture in stock and C) Because we have Neil, Our Operations Manager. His job is designed with the sole purpose of focusing on this important and difficult function, to ensure that we succeed every time. Of course it happens sometimes that demand for a particular piece of Furniture outstrips demand. In these cases, we are happy to deliver the Furniture we can at the earliest opportunity and deliver the outstanding Pine, Ash or Oak Furniture item at a later date at no extra cost to you. We would rather have Neil pulling his hair out than you.
Building in features making Oak furniture from OAKEA much more practical in daily use than all the ‘off the shelf’ furniture you can buy anywhere. Our own range of Oak Furniture, of which we own the intellectual property is the UTAH range of Oak Furniture, which deserves a close look.
This is what every business would say – and so we don’t say it all the time. For us, it goes without saying! It does, however, need to be mentioned in this list. Otherwise, it would look like all the benefits listed here come at a cost. Well, this is not the case! Since we only buy Furniture in volume direct from the factories, we can pass on massive savings – and we do! Please compare prices and see for yourself. But don’t mistake it for Cheap Furniture – it is really expensive Solid Oak Furniture at very low prices.
We believe that demanding deposit or advance payment is the same as expecting the customer to take a risk – sometimes unknowingly. This is particularly important to bear in mind in the current economic climate where many businesses will not pull through.
Given these facts we believe that it is neither ethical, nor fair to use customer’s advance payments as a source of capital. That's what banks are there for. So, even if you pay by card using our secure online payment option, we do not process any payment until your furniture is loaded on the van. For complete peace of mind you can also pay on delivery – except in the rare cases where third party couriers are used.
When you phone us - or when you visit our showroom, you will always be met with a professional attitude from Neil, Tom or Henrik. Whoever you speak to will have the authority and the knowledge to deal with any query you might have in a professional and polite manner. No Call centers, no 'I will have to check with the boss', and no long wait on the phone.
We wish to ensure that your furniture arrives timely, in perfect condition and that we can keep you updated right up until delivery. So whenever possible, we use our own Furniture vans and drivers. The very few exceptions are when delivery needs to be made to remote locations or when only small items which can go on an overnight service.
If you find the same furniture offered at a lower price, we will match the price. We will need to be able to verify the alternative price, and it will have to be an offer from a registered furniture retailer. We will match the total cost of the alternative deal INCLUDING cost of delivery. Unfortunately we are unable to price match retrospectively.
Unfortunately there is a hidden risk in buying high cost items such as Oak furniture - especially if you have to pay up front. If the retailer is financially weak, it will be more difficult for them to get full support from their suppliers, and lead times will suffer. Because we are self financed we are a 'customer of choice' for our suppliers, which is reflected in the reliability we can offer our customers.
You can ask any member of staff for advice and opinions. They all know the 'full story' and take pride in representing the company.

However, if you are looking to spend a sizeable amount on Furniture, which is not an everyday occurrence for most people, you must – you MUST – ensure that you make a decision you are happy with at the time of ordering as well as in the years to come. If you make the journey to Hereford, we are confident that you will find that the right decision is OAKEA. Our pledge to you is that if you spend more than £1500 we will pay for one night’s stay at England’s Gate Coach House in Bodenham a few miles from OAKEA – a local pub from 1540 with accommodation which has just been completely refurbished and furnished by OAKEA.
